A zoo at the cutting edge of eco-conservation
The Zoo des Sables is a leader in the conservation of endangered animals such as red pandas, maned wolves, gibbons, hornbills and anteaters. It even coordinates the breeding plan for the Buffon’s Macaw on an international scale! In all, more than half of the park’s species are covered by international protection projects. As well as being a place to get away from it all and enjoy the sights, the Ecozoo des Sables is also a sanctuary for endangered animals.
