Come and discover our 3-star campsite “Le Camping du Lac du Jaunay” at Landevieille in the Vendée, in a green setting where the natural environment is ideal for relaxation. Located not far from the shores of Lac du Jaunay, the spot is ideal for fishing in a calm, relaxed atmosphere, or for enjoying water games with the whole family.

Our rental accommodation is set in a haven of peace stretching over 5 hectares. The environment is protected and nature reigns supreme. The campsite’s proximity to the lake makes it the ideal base for exploring the Vendée coastline. But be warned: if you’re a fisherman, you may not want to leave the campsite, even for a seaside getaway on the Atlantic coast!

The 114-hectare Lac du Jaunay is just a few flip-flop strides from your accommodation. In a bucolic setting, it has been classified as a fishing reserve since 1980, to the delight of anglers and fly fishers alike. This idyllic setting enables experienced anglers and sports enthusiasts alike to combine their passion for this discipline with the other activities on offer at the campsite. There’s only one thing you need to do before you start camping on the water: pack your fishing rod, landing net and tackle, and we’ll take care of the rest!

As soon as you arrive on site, you’ll be able to purchase day or weekly fishing cards from the campsite reception. If you wish to prepare your fishing season in advance, please contact the campsite reception for any information you may require. Fishing activity: Day fishing or night fishing, at the Lac du Jaunay campsite.

There are 2 main species of freshwater fish in the waters of Lac du Jaunay:

Carnivorous fish (pike-perch, pike, perch, black-bass)
Cyprinids (carp, tench, roach, bream)

While fishing on the lake is open all year round, it is regulated for pike-perch and pike during part of the winter and spring (closed from the last Sunday in January to the second Saturday in May).

The summer season is therefore a particularly good time to hook them and feast on freshly caught fish during barbecue evenings with family and friends.

More adventurous anglers can organize night fishing trips for carp, which are authorized at night along the 2 marked routes on the lake’s shores.
